From June 29th to July 2nd 2026, the leaders of the LIFE24-NAT-PL-Control IAS for LIFE project, a group of 12 people, participated in a workshop on combating the invasive alien species, the American lysichiton (Lysichiton americanus). The workshop was led by our Danish colleagues from Amphi International, who have experience in controlling IGOs, including the lysichiton. After the theoretical part, we went into the field, where we discovered techniques for excavating and neutralizing the same alien sources at two sites. If we were excluded, the most interesting locations were located in the immediate and emergency area around Odense, where the workshops were held. The trip was very successful. We gained a lot of experience in handling the lysichiton, and we already have other workshops available from other workshops throughout the year.
